Covid-19 Response & Update

To all our loyal & new patients,

YOUR SAFETY, AND THAT OF OUR STAFF, REMAIN OUR #1 PRIORITY THROUGH THIS TIME.

As it currently stands, our clinic is still open during our normal operating hours (below), to continue to care for our patients and help them with their foot & leg pain and problems.

The risks of COVID-19 are increasing, as more diagnoses are being confirmed daily. In response, we have been proactive in developing our plan to limit the risks of transmission within our clinic. We are following the current government regulations, while being committed to playing our part in protecting those most vulnerable in our community by acting cautiously and responsibly during this time. These are on top of our already strict hygiene processes that we must adhere to as board-registered healthcare providers with high regulatory standards.

YOUR APPOINTMENTS

As our appointments currently continue as scheduled, we remain incredibly conscious of these interactions and the impact these may have on your health and safety, and that of our staff. As a consequence, we are implementing a number of initiatives in an attempt to limit the risk of contagion within our environment. These include:

  1. Staff are adhering to social distancing in the clinic, and we have appropriately spaced our waiting room to enable you to do the same
  2. You may wait in vehicle for your appointment to commence (to reduce your waiting room time) and our staff will notify you when it is time to see your podiatrist
  3. Any staff member who is feeling unwell in any way or has any cold or flu-like symptoms have been instructed to refrain from reporting for work
  4. Any staff member developing any symptoms whilst at work is to immediately remove themselves from the business and notify management
  5. Any staff member who believes that a patient is exhibiting flu symptoms has been instructed to remain at a distance and report their concerns
  6. We have implemented a stringent cleaning and disinfection protocol to ensure any work surfaces are thoroughly cleaned multiple times per day
  7. Staff have been reminded of the importance of personal hygiene in particular handwashing
  8. Asking that if you have any cold-flu symptoms, that you reschedule your appointment. We understand that symptoms may develop in the last minute, so we are currently waiving our cancellation fee for last-minute cancellations. Appointments can be rebooked for 14 days time

Using personal protective equipment like gloves, face masks and hand sanitiser is already a standard protocol in the clinic, and we continue to do this too.

While our approach may create some inconvenience during this time, we ask that you respect these initiatives and support them wherever you can. Everything that we are currently doing is aligned with our core mission - to help you optimise your health, so you can realise your full potential.

We are greatly appreciative of your ongoing support and look forward to continuing to serve you during this time of uncertainty. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions with regard to our operations over the coming weeks and months.

Our plan is continuously evolving and should anything change with respect to our operations, we will update you accordingly on this page.

Many thanks,

Katherine and the team from South Burnett Podiatry
